Sanford maps were the standard maps used by insurance companies to assess risk.  These maps of the Pawtuxet Village area were originally published in 1921-1922 and republished in 1956-1958. These are now useful to explore where your grandmother roamed.  Have fun!  All are .pdf files requiring Adobe Acrobat Reader (free download here).
